UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Prof. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Sorouji discussed with the University's strategic planning team the strategic trends of the UQU Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs in terms of the academic programs set in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the importance of introducing new specializations and updating the current programs. The meeting took place at his office at the university campus in Azizia.
Meanwhile, Prof. Al-Sorouji explained the importance of improving student's experience given that the student is the bedrock of the university's educational process. He stressed the importance of adopting the concept of the learning organization, creating the academic environment inspiring work and innovation for students, members of the teaching staff and the employees, which include educational services, curricula and extracurricular activities and facilities. He also reiterated the importance of disseminating the strategic mission and vision as general to help all the university affiliates to participate in the decision-making process.
For his part, the Strategic planning Team praised the keenness and cooperation of the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs explaining that such meetings come within the series of events to be conducted by the Strategic Team of Empowerment Plan "Tamkeen" to gauge views and trends of the male and female leadership and students inside and outside the university to formulate a well-established strategic plan which will enable the university to achieve its strategic vision and objectives.
It's to be mentioned here that the meeting has also discussed issues related to the university strategic planning in terms of its mission, vision, and values. Additionally, the strategic aspirations the university is looking to achieve were explored in line with the National Transformation Plan 2020 and the Kingdom Vision 2020 so as to upgrade the university's educational, research and academic outcomes.
