Admission Deanship  Receives Applications of Evening Preparatory Year and Qualifying Year Next Sunday

The Deanship of Admission and Registration, at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), tomorrow, Sunday, will start to receive applications from the male and female students desiring to apply through the Evening Preparatory Year and Qualifying Year program during the academic year 1439/1440 AH at the main headquarters of the university in Makkah, and its branches in Jamoum, Al-Lith and Al-Qunfudah; in addition to the diplomas of the Community College in Makkah. This is during the period from 16 to 20\11\1439 AH.

Dr. Hashim bin Ahmed Al-Samadani, dean of the Admission and Registration Deanship, said that this period is considered an opportunity for the male and female students, whose measured proportions have not qualified them in the regular admission, to apply via the Admission Portal to the Evening Preparatory Year and Qualifying Year program as well as the diplomas of the Community College. The admission procedures will be available on the portal from 16 to 20\11\1439 AH.  These procedures are represented in submitting the admission applications, the stage of selection by the deanship during 23-25\11\1439 AH, and then the result will be announced. From 26\11\1439 to 5\12\1439 AH, the fees will be paid.

The dean said that the Evening Preparatory Year Program accepts the engineering, computers and administrative tracks; pointing out that each student during a one-year study must obtain a cumulative average of at least 1.75 out of 4, along with passing all the courses. The attendance at the university shall be in one of the specializations related to the Deanship of the Preparatory Year in accordance with the established.

Dr Al-Samadani added that the Evening Qualifying Year Program  is accepted through the Colleges of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, Applied Sciences, Da'wa and Fundamentals of Religion, as well as the College of Islamic Economics and Finances, in addition to the University Colleges in Jamoum, Al-Lith and Al-Qunfudah. He mentioned that the applicants must obtain a cumulative average of not less than 2 out of 4, and not to obtain a deprived estimate for the large number of absences during the period of study in any curriculum, and the attendance in the university shall be in one of the specializations associated with the College, which was accepted according to the applicable instructions and standards.
