Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafeel, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), said that work will be started on the designs of the University City in Al-Lith Province as well as the implementation of 4 urgent buildings in order to dispense rented buildings in branches and to promote the educational environment; indicating that the wise government – May Allah support it- provided financial support and human cadres with high qualifications in order to graduate national cadres that contribute to the service of their religion and homeland.
This was announced during a visit paid by UQU President to inspect the university branch in Al-Lith Province. Dr. Bafeel was escorted by Dr. Abdelaziz bin Rashad Soroji, UQU Vice-President for Educational Affairs; Dr. Abdelmeguid bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, UQU Vice-President for Branches; Dr. Mohamed bin Wasel Al-Hazemi, Advisor to UQU President and General Supervisor of Project Management; Dr. Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Maleki, Dean of the University College in Al-Lith; and deans of the university colleges in Al-Lith and officials of the relevant departments in the university.
UQU President’s visit included the University College in Male Students Section, the Health Sciences College in both male and female students sections, the Computer College, the College of Engineering, and the University College in Females Section. During the visit, he inspected the laboratories and the halls.
Dr. Abdullah Bafeel met with a number of parents and dignitaries of the province, pointing out that the university harnessed its efforts and human and technical capabilities in order to provide the finest educational services for male and female students, to overcome all obstacles to their educational process, and provide an atmosphere that enables them to obtain scientific study. He added that it will be working to develop this environment to be a model to be followed in university education.
HE said that they will start working on the development of new sections to meet the requirements of the labor market in accordance with the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 to meet the wishes and aspirations of the people of Al-Lith and surrounding villages, referring to the support of the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, to the various programs and activities of the university.
