The Vision Initiatives Management Office at Umm Al-Qura University has organized a workshop to explain the objectives of the program and the mechanism of writing new initiatives for achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030 as part of the human development program launched by the Ministry of Education. The workshop took place in the presence of the Supervisor General of the Vision Initiatives Management Office, the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi, the UQU Vice Presidents, College and Supportive Deanship Deans and the faculty members.
The workshop which took place at King Abdul-Aziz Supportive Hall in Abdyia for males concurrently with Al-Jawhara Hall in Al-Zahir for females started with the speech of the Supervisor General of the Vision Initiatives Management Office, the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani Ghazi who stressed the importance of such initiatives urging everyone to participate and constructively interact with the program set by the university through the UQU Vision Initiatives Management Office. He emphasized that under the directives of the UQU President Pro. Abdullah Bafail the university has obtained nine initiatives surpassing many Saudi universities involved in this national programs. He also lauded the generous support provided by our wise government led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz to achieve the Kingdom Vision 2030 launched by HRH Prince Mohamed bin Salman, the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense to boost human development to serve the nation and achieve citizen's welfare.
For his part, the Director of the Vision Initiatives Management Office, the Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Mohamed bin Jaafar Thabit made a detailed presentation on the objectives of the initiatives program launched by the Ministry of Education to participate in achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the mechanisms adopted in the participation and classification of the rolled out initiatives. He indicated that the 19th of Ramadan, 1439 H has been set as the final date to submit the initiative's projects to the Vision Initiatives Management Office in the university.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the inquiries, proposals raised by the participants were answered.
