At the Grand King Saud Hall within the University City in Al-Abediyah, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafil, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), followed up the examination rooms of the Preparatory Year Deanship students (Medical Track) for the final second semester exams 1438/1439H. The President was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Sorouji (UQU Vice-President for Educational Affairs), Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi (Dean of the Preparatory Year Deanship), and Dr. Ahmad bin Atiyah Al-Zahrany (Vice-Dean of the Preparatory Year for Educational Affairs). This was in order to check the progress of the exams, and to make sure of the appropriate atmosphere to help them get the best rates.
During the meeting, Dr. Bafil recommended that the electronic tests via smart devices should be applied to all Preparatory Year scientific, administrative and medical courses. He also confirmed that he would provide all the potential in this regard in order to harness modern technology to serve students and all UQU affiliates. In addition, he pointed out that the appropriate examination environment should be prepared in accordance with the scientific and educational status of UQU. He added that this would be achieved by the support given by the wise leadership (May Allah save it!), drawing attention to the support and directions of Dr. Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Isa, Minister of Education, concerning the programs and activities of UQU.
In turn, Dr. Saad Al-Ghamdi stated that the Preparatory Year students of the two sections in Al-Abediyah, Al-Lith and Al-Qunfudha were being examined simultaneously. He also pointed out that such tests were standardized in the computer programming course. It is worth mentioning that the number of this day’s examined medical track students of both genders reached 1300 in Al-Abediyah and 175 in Al-Lith and Al-Qunfudha.
Within the same framework, Dr. Saad Al-Ghamdi appreciated the support given to the Deanship by Dr. Abdullah Bafil and the continuous follow up by Dr. Abdulaziz Sorouji. He added that this was significant for the Deanship to carry out its tasks and reinforce its educational role in such prestigious scientific edifice, i.e. UQU.
