UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Srouji has paid an inspection tour to the English Language Center at the College of Social Sciences in the university campus in Abdyiah today Sunday Dhul-Qe'dah 21 1437H, where he was received by the Center's Director Dr. Sami Muhammad Ghalib Eterji and his assistant Dr. Muhammad Solayman Shoushou. During the visit, he was briefed on the Center's preparations for the current academic year 1437/1438H including; promoting the use of the latest versions of Oxford University in teaching English to be used at the international level in the coming year 2017. This version is reckoned the most advanced one in teaching English language and the most appropriate for the Saudi environment.
Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Srouji praised the efforts the Center was and still is exerting through its various and purposeful programs to teach English Language, most recently the application of the latest versions of Oxford University for teaching English language. He also lauded the persistent support and attention paid to the Center by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas for harnessing all potentials for the benefit of the students, and the close follow-up of the Center's Director Dr. Sami Eterji in order to make the center one of the major global centers in teaching English language.
For his part, Dr. Eterji revealed that the Center has carried out all the preparations and arrangements for the new academic year including; applying and teaching the latest versions of Oxford University in teaching English language which will contribute to knowledge and scientific progress of the students, and bringing distinction for the university and its English language center as the first center to apply this version. He added that the male and female teachers of the Center will be trained and briefed on the different aspects of the digital support of the scientific material by its developers. He further said that the Center will work this year to offer IELTS exams at Umm Al-Qura University in collaboration with the British Council.
Concluding, Dr. Eterji lauded the persistent support and attention that is paid by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Srouji, to all the Center's programs and works.
