UQU President Launches Websites and Visual Identities of Al-Qunfudhah Colleges of Computer and Engineering

President of Umm Al-Qura University Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail has launched the websites and visual identities of Al-Qunfudhah colleges of computer and engineering in the presence of the Dean of both colleges Dr. Jabir bin Saeed Al-Zahrani and his vice deans. The launching ceremony took place at his office at the university campus in Abdyia. 

 

At the commencement of the meeting, the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah Colleges of Computer and Engineering Dr. Jabir bin Saeed Al-Zahrani made a presentation on the technical and developmental works achieved in the two colleges including; designing e-portals for summer training, academic mentoring, graduation projects, strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors in Al-Qunfudhah province. He said the two colleges include a number of scientific departments such as construction engineering, industrial engineering, computer sciences, and computer engineering indicating that they are endeavoring to localize university education in engineering and computer sciences and contribute to serving the community. He went on to add that the total number of students enrolled in the two colleges exceeds one thousand male and female student. 

 

For his part, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail acclaimed the support attached by the wise leadership to the educational process in the university's main campus in Makkah and its branches in Jamoum, Al-Lith, Al-Qunfudhah and Adhm provinces in such manner which contributed to localizing the university education according to the highest quality standards. He then lauded the quality programs offered by Al-Qunfudhah Colleges of Commuter and Engineering and wished for the two colleges to introduce new majors in line with the labor market requirements and to keep pace with the Kingdom Vision 2030.
