UQU President Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail received the Chancellor of the Islamic University of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Dean of College of Sharia and Islamic Studies Dr. Ghazi bin Morshid Al-Otaibi, Dean of College of D'awa and Islamic Theology Dr. Faisal Ghazawi and the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers  Dr. Hassan Bukhari. The meeting took place at his office at the university campus in Abdyia. 

At the commencement of the meeting, the UQU President Prof. Bafail welcomed the Chancellor of the Islamic University of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Saeed and his accompanying delegation praising the support attached by the wise leadership to the university's educational and administrative environment. He then reviewed the programs offered by the university for its affiliates exceeding 110 thousand students.

For his part, the Chancellor of Islamic University of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Shaheem valued the good and generous reception and referred to the significant importance attached to the Arabic language and literature programs. He noted that the mechanism of boosting cooperation with the Saudi universities will be discussed in order to exchange the educational skills.   

After that, the UQU President Prof. Bafail handed out the book of "Makkah from the Sky"  as a memorial gift to the Chancellor of Islamic University of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Shaheem and his accompanying delegation. The book is reckoned one of the knowledge outcomes of the university.
