The University College in Al-Laith as concluded the student programs of academic year 1438/1439AH in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Malky, the Deans of the College, Department Heads, and faculty members, at the college’s theater in Al-Laith province.
The celebration started with reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an. Afterwards, a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Media, the supervisor of the Student Affairs Unit at the College, Haroun Takrouni, made a visual presentation that explained the non-class programs offered by Al-Laith University College in academic year 1438/1439AH, noting that several programs and activities were held to further enhance students’ skills. These activities saw the participation of over 500 students.
Following this, attendees watched an operetta titled “The Country’s Pride”. Then the Dean of the University College in Al-Laith, Dr. Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Malky, delivered a message in which he praised the support and guidance given by UQU President, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail to the programs of the college, which can eventually lead to the development of the educational and academic environment and is line with the 2030 vision of the Kingdom. He pointed out that the goal of these non-class programs is to instill patriotic values and maintain public appearances within the province, as well as serve the community and enhance the skills of recital art and scientific research.
He stressed that non-class programs have a prominent role in the practical and scientific life of students. As they are parallel to the educational programs of students. He expressed his wish to see students interact more with these programs, praising the efforts of everyone who took part in them and expecting them to leave a positive effect on the students’ lives in the future.
At the end of the ceremony, the Dean of the College honored the faculty members who participated in the activities. He also honored distinct students in the college, and those who participated in the non-class programs.
