UQU Vice President for Female Students' Affairs Participates in Research Excellence Forum

The UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Kholy participated in the second Research Excellence Forum titled: "Environmental studies of Arabic Langauge and other sciences", organized by the Arabic Language and Literature Research Center. The forum which was organized at Al-Jaffali hall 3 at the female campus in Al-Zahir, was attended by the Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, the Deputy Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Research Center Dr. Haifaa bint Osman Fadda, and the Vice Dean of Scientific Research for Research Volunteering Dr. Somaia bint Ezzat bin Sharaf.  

 

After initiating the ceremony with a Quranic recitation, a brief introductory presentation was made about the Arabic Language and Literature Research Center including its most important objectives and its research priorities based on the vision of the Deanship of Scientific Research and the Vice Deanship of Research Center in the Deanship.

 

Then, the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Kholy addressed the audience highlighting the importance and status of the Arabic Language, signaled out to us by Allah, and the importance of organizing such research forums for their role in enriching knowledge, expanding horizons and providing enriching programs to upgrade their research skills in the language field and raise their knowledge, research, language and skill momentum.

 

She was followed by the Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Hala Al-Amoudi who lauded the efforts exerted by the Deanship of Scientific Research represented by the Arabic Language and Literature Research Center which contributed to creating scientific momentum and good competitions that will lead to boosting knowledge and linguistic capacities of the students.  

 

After that, the scientific sessions in the Arabic language research started with a constellation of male and female speakers including several research themes in the field of awareness studies, language science, and educational studies. The sessions were run by Dr. Suaad bint Friaj Al-Thaqafi and Dr. Jamila bint Abdul-Aziz Khayyat. 

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Sarah Al-Kholy honored the participants in the forum and lauded the role of the  Arabic Language and Literature Research Center and its affiliates and their exerted effort which will contribute to teaching and learning of the Arabic language in light of the modern technologies and community renaissance.
