Deputy Emir of Makkah Sponsors Graduation of 7687 UQU Students

 On behalf of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques and Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Deputy Emir of Makkah HRH Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdul-Aziz sponsored on Monday evening Shaaban 7, 1439 H corresponding to April 23, 2018, the graduation ceremony of the 66th batch of Umm Al-Qura students for the academic year 1438/1439 H at the university main campus in Makkah and its branches in Jamoum, Al-Qunfudhah, A-Lith and Adhm amounting to 7,687 students who obtained their degrees including; Ph.D., Master, High Diploma, BA, and diplomas in the different scientific and theoretical specialties. The celebration was organized by the Deanship of Students Affairs in the presence of the UQU President Prof. Abdulla Omar Bafail  a number of their excellency and their eminence, UQU Vice Presidents, Deans of Colleges and parents of students at King Saud Hall at the university campus in Abdyia concurrently with Al-Jawhara Hall at the female campus in Al-Al-Zahir.  

 

On the arrival of the Deputy Emir to the hall prepared for the celebration, the Saudi Anthem was played. The celebration was then started with recitations of some verses from the Holy Qur’an.  After that, the graduates march was launched to be followed by the speech of the graduates which was delivered by student Mohamed Ali Al-Shamarani who expressed their thanks to the Deputy Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bandar for sponsoring their graduation ceremony and for sharing with them their joy on this occasion stressing that such a thing reflects the support and keenness attached by our wise leadership led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and the Heir apparent  to science and learning in our country. They also extended their thanks to the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa and the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail and all those in charge of the university. Further, they extended their thanks and appreciations to their parents for their support and guidance. It didn't escape their notice also to extend thanks to all those involved in their education and mentoring at the University of Umm Al-Qura. 


Then, the medical colleges' graduates took the graduation oath.

  

After that, the Dean of Admission and Registration in the university Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani provided statistics of the graduates for the academic year 1438/1439 H amounting to 7687 students including; (49) PhD, Holders, (170) MSc holders, (93)Higher Diploma holders, (7105) BSc holders and (270) General Diploma holders.

 

Within the same vein, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail delivered speech in which he welcomed the Deputy Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bandar and the attendees expressing his thanks and appreciation to him for sponsoring the ceremony on behalf of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and for his honorable presence at the university's graduation ceremony for this academic year 1438/1439 H.  

 

He then extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and the Heir apparent for their support and keenness attached to the science and learning in the Kingdom praising also the support of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa. He also congratulated the graduates and their families on this occasion and then announced the general results of the graduates who obtained different scientific degrees in all the scientific and theoretical specialties praying Allah to perpetuate the grace of security, stability, and prosperity for our dear country under its wise leadership.   

 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Deputy Emir of Makkah received a memorial gift from the UQU President and a commemorative photo was taken for him with the graduate students.
