The Deanship of Student Affairs at UQU has concluded the student programs and activities of for academic year 1438/1439AH, in the presence of the Vice President of UQU for Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khouli; the Vice Dean of University Studies, Dr. Halah bint Saeed Al-Amoudi; the Vice Dean of University Studies for Educational Affairs and Development, Dr. Kholoud bint Saad Al-Yousef; and the Vice Dean of University Studies, Dr. Farida bint Mohamed Al-Ghamdi. The event took place at Al-Jawhara hall at the university headquarters in Al-Zahir.
On her arrival to the location of the celebrations, Dr. Al-Khouli examined the projects of students and the programs of student clubs as well as the non-class activities offered by the college.
In his speech, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Amr bin Taha Al-saqqaf, praised the efforts of the Vice Deans of Student Affairs that aim to benefit the students and develop their abilities. He pointed out that student programs contribute to developing and enhancing their talents and abilities as well as filling their leisure time with useful activities. He stressed that student activities are an important part of the journey of university students thanks to the opportunities they provide them with to improve their capabilities.
This was followed by a message delivered by the UQU Vice President of Student Activities, Dr. Sarah Al-Khouli, where she welcomed the attendees and expressed her happiness with the creative and educational achievements of students, leaving a positive impact on their academic level, enhancing their experiences, and developing their skills and capabilities.
Dr. Al-Khouli emphasized that these programs support university students intellectually, culturally and in terms of their awareness levels in light of the comprehensive intellectual and national development taking place in accordance with the 2030 kingdom vision. She praised the encouragement and support given by UQU President, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, to all the programs and activities offered by the UQU Vice Presidency for Student Affairs.
Afterwards, the diverse segments of the celebration started with folkloric singing of “Reverence of Edifice” operetta, followed by a play titled “Language Ardent”, then a theatrical monologue titled “A University Day”. Afterwards, the results of the competition “UQU Role Model (2nd Season)” were announced, and winners of the first three places were honored.
