Within the services provided by the Institute of Research and Consultation Studies, the Business Trust Unit for Training and Consultations was established. In this context, the first session by the Unit was held at the Girls Section in collaboration with the College of Business Administration (BA) on Monday, 24th Jumada II 1439H. The session was entitled, “Administrative Terms in English” and presented by Dr. Susan Wazzan, Vice-Dean of the BA College and Staff Member at the English Language Department. At the beginning of the session, the English administrative terms that BA students might encounter in many domains, including tourism, hotel, accounting and economics, were introduced. Moreover, the English terminology, their spelling and the way they were used in the text, context and reference were discussed. In addition, the main references and dictionaries of administrative terms were pointed out to, while the ability to configure the personal management dictionary was explained.
It is noteworthy that the lecture targeted the BA College students in the various disciplines. In return, the trainees expressed their content with the session as they benefitted from it at the scientific and cognitive levels.
At the end of the session, trainees were awarded certificates of attendance approved by the Vice-Deanship for Support of Professional Accreditation.
