The UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, has designated Dr. Usamah bin Abulrahman Muhammad Sheikh Omar as the Acting Dean of Qunfudah College of Medicine as of Shawwal 12, 1437H, until a further notice. This decision is subsequent the the apology of Dr. Abdulmon'em bin Ahmed al-Qassem for not continuing as the dean of the college for undisclosed reasons.

Dr. Assas prayed for Almighty Allah to help them both assume their responsibility and meet their commitments towards science, students and the university.
