President of Umm Al Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas has approved, under mandate of the university council, the decisions to appoint a number of colleges' staff members and to grant scholarships for scores of employees from Zul-Hijjah 1, 1436 to Shaaban 8, 1437H.
Under the decisions, up to 69 Ph.D degree holders were appointed as Assistant and Associate Professors in different colleges and institutes. Also, as many as 77 Masters' and Bachelor Degree holders were appointed as teaching assistants and lecturers. In the meantime, about 130 employees got scholarships for training courses inside the kingdom and abroad.
Dr. Assas congratulated the newly appointed academics who joined a galaxy of staff to continue the mission of serving their university. The president highlighted continuous support shown by the government of King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who are keen on science and research.
