UQU President Makes Administrative Decisions

President of Umm Al Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas has taken a number of administrative decisions.

According to Dr. Assas' Advisor Mr. Essam bin Hassan Margoushi, the decisions included:

  1. Renewal of mandate for Dr. Hani bin Mohamed bin Othman Al Mo'alem as Vice-Dean of the College of Medicine. His two-year mandate is effective as of Rajab 16, 1437H.
  2. Renewal of mandate for Dr. Saud bin Salem Abdul Rahim Ba-Wazir as Vice-Dean of the College of Pharmacy. Under the decision, he shall keep his job as Chairman of the Pharmacy Research Center at the Deanship of Scientific Research. The six-month mandate is effective as of Rabi Al-Awal 23, 1437H.
  3. Name Dr. Farid bin Ali Yahiya Al Ghamdi 'Vice-Dean' for Development and Educational Programs at the College of Education. His two-year mandate shall start from Ramadan 20, 1437H.
  4. Renewal of mandate for Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan bin Saeed Badreig Al Amoudi as Vice-Dean of the College of Medicine for Hospital Affairs. His two-year mandate is effective as of Rajab 16, 1437H.
  5. Renewal of mandate for Dr. Atiq bin Ahmed bin Hassan Al Zahrani as Vice-Dean of the College of Computer for Educationa and Development in Al-Qunfudah. His two-year mandate is effective as of Shaaban 19, 1437H.
  6. Renewal of mandate for Dr. Khaled bin Abdo bin Mohamed Al Makhaled as Vice-Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudah for Education and Development Affairs. His two-year mandate is effective as of Rajab 22, 1437H.
  7. Renewal of mandate for Dr. Mohamed bin Ra'fat Abdullah Ali Abdullah as Supervisor of the College of Pharmacy's Vice-deanship for Hospital Affairs. His one-year mandate is effective as of Rajab 27, 1437H.
  8. Naming Dr. Muaffaq bin Mohamed bin Ahmed Oreijah new head of Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture. His two-year term starts on Ramadan 18, 1437H.
  9. Naming Dr. Ayman bin Abdurrahman bin Radi Al Rahili Head of Computer Engineering Department at the College of Computer and Information Systems. His two-year term starts on Ramadan 18, 1437H.
  10. Naming Dr. Mohamed bin Abdullah Abed Elsawat chairman of Islamic Studies Research Center at the Deanship of Scientific Research. His two-year term starts on Ramadan 17, 1437H.
  11. Naming Dr. Ziad bin Hammad Ahmed Omran Supervisor of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the College of Pharmacy. His two-year term starts on Ramadan 17, 1437H.
  12. Naming Mr. Mesallat bin Zayed bin Marzouq Al Majhoud the managing director of the Deanship of Scientific Research as of Ramadan 17, 1437H.
  13. Assigning Mr. Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Mohamed Hamad for work at the Institute of Scientific Research and Revival of Islamic Heritage. He shall start work on Ramadan 17, 1437H.
  14. Naming Dr. Ibtissam bint Abdel Qader Othman Istanbouli Vice-dean of the College of Social Sciences (Girls Section) for two years. She shall start work on Ramadan 17, 1437H.
  15. Naming Dr. Nouf bint Ali Barakat Al Juaid Deputy Head of the Training Courses Department at the Higher Institute for Promotion of Virtues and Prevention of Vices. The two-year mandate is effective Ramadan 20, 1437H.
  16. Naming Dr. Safyya bint Abdullah bin Ahmed Bakhit Deputy Head of Islamic Education at the College of Education (Girls Section) for two years. The mandate shall start from Ramadan 18, 1437H.
  17. Naming Dr. Fawzia bint Mohamed Alloush Al Barakati Deputy Head of the Biology Department at the College of Applied Sciences (Girls Section in Al-Aziziyah). The two-year mandate shall start on Ramadan 17, 1437H.
  18. Extending mandate of Dr. Fayza bint Abdul Raziq Mahboub Mahboub as Deputy Head of the Biology Department at the College of Applied Sciences (Girls Section). The two-year mandate shall start on Ramadan 22, 1437H.
  19. Naming Dr. Mariyam bin Amin Sab Mojally Deputy Head of the Chemistry Department at the College of Pharmacy (Girls Section). The two-year mandate shall start on Ramadan 20, 1437H.
  20. Naming Dr. Farah bin Qais Dawood AL Hamoud as Deputy Head of the Clinical Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy (Girls Section). The two-year mandate shall start on Ramadan 20, 1437H.
  21. Extending mandate of Ms. Najah bint Mohamed Khalef Al Rashedy as Deputy Supervisor of Affiliation Program for Admission at the College of Community Service and Continuing Education (Girls Section). The one-year mandate is effective as of Shaaban 17, 1437H.

He asked Allah to help them meet the requirements of their new posts and play roles in achieving the UQU's objectives.
