President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas on Sunday Ramadan 21, 1437H held a meeting with Dean of the Faculty of Arabic Language and Literature Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Qarni.The president received a copy of the college's annual report which provides details on this year's achievements.
Dr. Assas was briefed on the college's strategic plan, the scientific and practice projects, research programs and the cultural and community service that are planned to be held to promote studies of language and literature.
Also, they discussed statistics on the Bachelor, Master's and PhD degrees that were granted to students throughout the year. The discussions covered researches presented by college's staff and employees in addition to the training sessions held for students and the public.
During the meeting, Dr. Assas flicked through a copy of the theses guide which was prepared by postgraduate students. Examples were given on theses in the Arabic language field of study and its branches (Syntax, Morphology, linguistics, Rhetoric and Literary criticism).
