His Excellency Dr. Bakri bin Ma'toq Assas, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the College of Community Service and Continuous Education and the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies at UQU. This was today at his office in the Abdeyyah-based university town, in the presence of Dr. Yasser bin Suleiman Shosho, UQU Vice President, and Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi, UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship. The aim is to establish a fruitful and constructive cooperation between both parties in the areas of academia, science, education, research, training, culture, and development. The memorandum was signed by Dr. Khaled bin Yusuf Bargawi, Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuous Education, and Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Shaari, Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies.
UQU President showed approval of this move that took place between the College and the Institute, in the context of cooperation among the different sectors of UQU. He emphasized that this memorandum of understanding that was signed today is going to promote the joint cooperation between the two parties, and will contribute to developing the work system and the academic, educational, and research programs within UQU, and to upgrading its outputs. He also expressed his wishes to everyone for success in order to achieve the desired objectives.
In their turn, the Dean of the College and the Dean of the Institute warmly thanked UQU President and expressed their deep appreciation to him for the attention he gives and for directly following up all UQU’s programs and supporting the objectives of such programs. They also stressed that everybody is working in order to upgrade the work system.
They both explained that this memorandum of understanding that was signed by the College and the Institute will contribute to the establishment of a joint cooperation between both parties in the various areas of academia, science, education, research, training, and culture, and to the work on developing the programs that are in line with national objectives. They added that this is to serve the learning and scientific process inside and outside the walls of UQU, praying to God the Almighty to grant everyone assistance and success.
