President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas opened on Wednesday Jumada Al-Thani 5, 1439 H corresponding to February 21, 2018, the workshop organized by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship under the theme "Building Strategies of Future Pioneers' Center" within the initiatives of the National Transformation Plan 2020. The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Institute Dr. Mowfaq bin Mohamed Oreijah and the officials of the institute.
Meanwhile, Dr. Assas lauded the steps taken and still by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to fulfil its role and participate in the National Transformation Program and its work plan carried in this regard.
While opening the workshop, Dr. Assas referred to the importance of the Institute's role in providing programs and activities in the interest of the entrepreneurs including; students, faculty members, researchers and inventors to move forward towards achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030. He linked such role to the innovative and creative nature of the institute's work which plays an effective role in qualifying the national cadres, serving citizens and nation and upgrading its offered programs to reach the sough-after objectives. He then wished success for everyone.
For his part the Dean of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute Dr. Mowfaq bin Mohamed Oreijah expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UQU President for his permanent support to the programs and activities of the Institute praising his continuous follow-up of the strategic plans carried out by the Institute to achieve the objectives for which it was established.
He made a comprehensive presentation on the strategic plan carried out and still by the Institute in line with the national objective and through the initiatives offered based on its partnerships with the public and private sectors to build an integrated system serving the university's objectives and its participation in the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Kingdom Vision 2030.
Wrapping up his speech, Dr. Oreijah said the workshop organized by the Institute under the title: "Building Strategies of Future Pioneers' Center" ,which include 32 participants from in and outside the university, comes in line with the Initiative launched by Makkah Emirate Program under the slogan of "How to be a Role Model". He explained that the workshop also comes within the initiative launched by the Institute to establish e-Training and qualification Center for Investment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship targeting students in the primary schools.
