The President of UQU, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assassa, launched on Monday 26 Jumada Al-Oula 1439AH the training programs for the initiative to develop the skills of faculty members and graduate studies students in scientific research for the current semester. The launching took place at the University Campus Library in Al-Abideyah in the presence of Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, the UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research; Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ahdal, the Dean of Scientific Research; Dr. Faisal Barwis, the Vice Dean of Scientific Research, and Dr. Emad Flimban, the head of the Science and Technology unit.
Dr. Assass listened to a detailed explanation made by the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Al-Ahdal, about the five programs of the deanship. They include the leadership preparation program in scientific research, the researcher maker program (for graduate studies students), the training program for the preparation of scientific research volunteers, and the specialized researcher program.
Dr. Assass praised the steps taken by the University's Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented in the Deanship of Scientific Research, for its attention to scientific research within the university and utilizing it to serve the country and society. He praised the efforts of the University’s Vice Presidency for Graduate studies and the staff of the Deanship of Scientific Research for implementing these programs, wishing success to everyone working to serve UQU and its staff in order to improve the organization of scientific research.
Dr. Thamir Al-Harbi and Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ahdal have both expressed their thanks and appreciation for Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assass for his support, attention and encouragement to the concept of scientific research and its development within the university, in accordance with the objectives of the national plan which mainly relies on scientific research and its role in sustainable national development.
