President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas witnessed at his office at the university campus in Abdyia, signing of partnership agreement between the College of Business Administration and the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies to establish Business Confidence Unit to be concerned with providing practical consultations and training courses in the different fields of business. The agreement was signed from the College of Business Administration by its Dean Dr. Sultan Al-Bogami and from the other side by the Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute Dr. Ali bin Mohamed Al-Shaari.
The Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute Dr. Ali Al-Shaari said the agreement is aimed at meeting the needs of the labor market in the field of consultations and professional training depending on the cooperation mechanism to transfer knowledge to the community and invest in the economy and knowledge in addition to taking advantage of the faculty members in the university.
He pointed out that the strategy sought-after by the institute is to increase university contribution in achieving development plans, building knowledge community, forging its relations with public and private sectors and the community, providing and expanding university partnerships, activities, services, consultations, research, knowledge and professional training for the beneficiaries at the local and international levels in such manner which achieves the institute's vision, diversifying and developing university resources of the contractual works in the fields related to knowledge transfer besides providing professional work environment for the beneficiaries.
Further, Dr. Al-Shaari valued the lasting keenness attached by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas to the Institute which have had a positive impact on the quality and diversification of the programs provided by it and on creating proper consultancy environment fitting the university status. He then lauded the cooperation of the different colleges with the Institute in transferring knowledge to the external community.
Within the same vein, the UQU President reviewed the plans, objectives and programs of the College of Business Administration and the advanced steps taken by the college to obtain the academic accreditation. This came during his meeting with the Dean of the College Dr. Sultan Al-Bogami in the presence of the College Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Faisal Al-Rouqi, the Head of Marketing Department Dr. Mahmoud Falatta, the Head of Business Administration of Hajj and Umrah Department Dr. Mohamed Al-Sharif and the Head of the Active Learning Center in the College Dr. Yosri Nabeel.
He also reviewed the college proposal to establish international center of active learning as the college has adopted since its establishment an active learning approach in teaching some of its courses and provided several training courses in this regard.
Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Bogami lauded the lasting support and directives of the UQU President provided to the programs of the college in the fields of business administration, marketing, accounting, hotels and tourism administration, business administration of Hajj and Umrah, which contributed to creating an attractive environment for science and learning.
For his part the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas commended the support attached to the university by the wise leadership in such manner which contributed to creating proper educational and research environment. He also lauded the role undertaken by the different colleges and deanships of the universities in the cooperation with the Consulting Research and Studies Institute who contributed to establishing a number of consultative units in these colleges and deanships.
All the more. Dr. Assas lauded the programs provided by the College of Business Administration which contributed to serving Hajj and Umrah in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. He then wished progress and prosperity for the college and its affiliates under the comprehensive educational renaissance currently witnessed in our blessed country. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the Dean of Consulting Research and Studies who contributed to transferring and localizing knowledge for the community outside the university.
