Umm Al-Qura University represented by the Higher Institute for Promotion of Value and Prevention of Vice will organize "Hisbah Scientific Conference: National loyalty and Intellectual Security", in the period from Jumada 27 to 29, 1439 H at King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall at the University Campus in Abdyia. The conference will discuss 35 work papers with the participation of a number of government agencies from the civil and military sectors.
Meanwhile, President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas discussed with the Dean of the Higher Institute for Promotion of Value and Prevention of Vice Dr. Yassir Al-Qahtani and the members of the organizing committee at his office at the university campus in Abdyia, the latest arrangements to organize the conference and the accompanying events such as the training courses and the exhibition.
In turn, the Dean of the Institute Dr. Yassir Al-Qahtani reviewed the efforts exerted by the scientific committee who received 55 scientific research and work papers out of which 35 work papers were approved to be discussed in the scientific sessions via the four themes related to Hisbah concept in Islam, promoting values of loyalty to nation, the role of Hisbah in promoting intellectual security in the community and the role of the government sectors and social upbringing institutions and charity organizations in harnessing hisbah in promoting for values of loyalty to nation and intellectual security.
"All participations including researches and work papers must be in line with the values and principles of Islamic sharia and the rules and regulations of the Kingdom and the topic must cover one of the themes of the conference accurately and directly according to latest developments in this regard and in line with the principles, the Kingdom Vision 2030 is seeking to achieve to help transfer the Kingdom to be amongst the ranks of the developed nations", Dr. Al-Qahtani expounded praising the directives of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and his support to organizing such events which will contribute to protecting youth of this nation against the extreme intellectual deviations. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the members of the conference' organizing committees.
For his part, the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas lauded the support attached to the university by the wise leadership and its approval to organize this conference which will contribute to disseminating moderate Islam in line with Holy Quran and traditions of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) and the latest Hisbah applications in the intellectual security, the loyalty to the rulers in addition to instilling values of loyalty to nation and building communities depending on compassion and brotherhood to protect these communities and unify its ranks. Additionally, he said the conference will also discuss the role of Hisbah in protecting the community from the intellectual deviation, the basics of Hisbah besides the role of Hisbah in achieving psychological and social security.
All the more, Dr. Assas said the conference will also discuss the role of the security organs in promoting national loyalty and intellectual security, the role of the regulatory institutions in promoting national loyalty and intellectual security, the role of the social upbringing institutions including; family, mosque and school" in in promoting national values and intellectual security, the role of the educational and D'awa institutions in promoting the national loyalty and intellectual security in addition to the role of the media channels in confronting rumors and all works against the national cohesion in social media websites.
Concluding his speech. Dr. Assas praised the support provided by the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa for the programs and activities of the university. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the Dean of the Higher Institute for Promotion of Values and Prevention of Vice Dr. Yassir Al-Qahtani and the members of the conference's organizing committee in showcasing the conference activities in line with the scientific and research status of Umm Al-Qura University.
