UQU President Receives Strategic Plan Handbook of Jamoum University College

The handbook for the strategic plan of Jamoum University College was handed to His Excellency Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, President of Umm Al-Qura University, by Dr. Tawfeeq bin Ali Al-Shareef, Dean of the College. This was in the presence of the vice deans of the College and the heads of departments at Dr. Assas’s office in the Abdeyyah-based university town.

Dr. Al-Shareef lauded Dr. Assas’s always being keen on providing an educational environment that keeps pace with the ambitions of their more than 3,000 students who are enrolled in a number of programs that meet labor market requirements: programs of computer science; accounting; mathematics; physics; biology; chemistry; mass communication; social work, as well as Arabic language science, and Islamic studies.

Dr. Al-Shareef said the strategic objectives the College seeks to fulfill in the atmosphere of education and research are upgrading the quality of the education process and preparing human cadres within the framework of the quality and academic accreditation system. This is in addition to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the College and its affiliates to provide research and consulting services, and working on developing participation and cooperation with institutions of the outside community. He continued, stressing that the College seeks to introduce graduate studies programs that keep up with the Saudi Vision 2030 for serving the people of the region.

In his turn, Dr. Assas commended the quality of the academic programs offered by Jamoum University College; such programs are keeping up with the Saudi Vision 2030. He further expressed his wishes for progress and prosperity to the College and its affiliates in light of the comprehensive educational revival witnessed by our blessed country in this flourishing era under the leadership of the guide of her blessed journey King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Highness the honest Crown Prince – may God protect them – and with their generous support to knowledge and education in this bountiful homeland in general and Umm Al-Qura University in particular.
