UQU President Receives Annual Report and Contents of  Strategic Plan of Arabic Language College

President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas has received the annual report of the College of Arabic Language and Literature for the academic year 1437/1438 H during his meeting today at his office at the university campus in Abdyia with the Dean of Arabic Language College Dr. Abdullah bin Nassir Al-Qarni, College Vice Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs Dr. Ahmed Al-Adwani and the College Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Abdullah Al-Masmali. The report included the college achievements in the academic year 1437/1438 H.  

 

Dr. Assas reviewed the report, the included strategic plan and the implications of the scientific, educational, research projects besides the college's programs, cultural activities, and community services. The report contained 300 pages in several chapters and two messages written by the college dean and the college vice dean for administrative and financial affairs which highlighted the college role as one of the mainstays of the educational process in the Kingdom and its contribution to dissemination of culture in the fields of  language, literature, grammar, morphology and classical Arabic rhetoric. The report also included the scientific degrees awarded to undergraduate, MSc and PhD male and female students during the academic year 1437/1438 H, diagrams of the scientific research in the college, the training courses held by different departments of the college for male and female students and the community in general in addition to placement of academic jobs in all departments of the college. 

 

After reviewing the report,  UQU President lauded efforts of the dean of Arabic language Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarni and all those in charge of this prestigious college and praised the achievements which were made within a very short period. He wished success and progress of the college and its affiliates in light of the overall educational renaissance process witnessed in our blessed country in this prosperous reign led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, and the Crown Prince and their generous support provided for education and science in the country as general and Umm Al-Qura University in particular.
