President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas launched today the new session of internal research programs (Baheth-Waeda, and Raed) and the supportive units of the Deanship of Scientific Research carried out by the UQU Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research represented by Deanship of Scientific Research. The launching event which took place in the president's office at the university campus in Abdyia, was attended by UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, Dean of Scientific Research Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ahdal and the Vice Deans.
Meanwhile, Dr. Assas lauded the steps carried out by the UQU Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research represented by Deanship of Scientific Research to attaching the needed concern to scientific research inside the university and harnessing this research for the benefit of the country and community. He then lauded efforts of the UQU Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and the team responsible for carrying out this program at the Deanship of Scientific Research, wishing success for everyone in such manner that serves Umm Al-Qura university and its affiliates.
In turn, the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi extended his thanks and appreciation to UQU President for his support, concern and encouragement provided for upgrading concept of scientific research in the university in accordance with the objectives of the national plan based on scientific research role in the sustainable development. He also lauded efforts of the Dean of Scientific Research in the University Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ahdal, vice deans and staff of the deanship.
For his part, Dean of Scientific Research in the University Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ahdal made a comprehensive presentation about the Deanship of Scientific Research and the role of supportive units established by the deanship to provide scientific support and consultation to presenting and editing research visions and proposals.
