President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M’atooq bin Bakri Assas visited Umm Al-Qura pavilion participating in the 3rd version of Jeddah International Book Fair. He was accompanied by Dean of Library Affairs Dr. Adnan Al-Harthi and a number of UQU officials.  

He checked on contents of the pavilion including scientific and research books in different academic specialties and the scientific production of the university research chairs in addition to the research studies of the postgraduate phase in various academic subjects.  

Meanwhile Dr. Assas said university participation at Jeddah International Book Fair comes to highlight the university’s intellectual and knowledge production in social and cultural fields besides the sharia, Arabic language, medical and scientific fields. In addition to introduce scientific research system to visitors via scientific journals through which the university seeks to provide its research and program services to all university affiliates and the community.

In turn, Dean of Library Affairs Dr. Adnan Al-Harthi said the university represented by Deanship of Library Affairs is very keen to diversify its scientific and research participation by showcasing university scientific production represented by the outstanding books and scientific journals in addition to different books of scientific and literature specialties. He then lauded support of UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and his keenness to achieve excellence in the university participation in different scientific and cultural fairs.
