Umm Al-Qura University Announces the Admission of 20 Thousand Students

Umm Al-Qura University announced the beginning of the next academic year admission 1437/1438. It is to admit 20 thousand students at its main headquarters in Makah and its branches in Jammum, Al-Lith, A’adm and Qundudah. The students to be admitted are meant for the bachelor degree of the Preparatory Year Programs with its medical, engineering and computing and administrative studies included, adding in the direct admission program of the theoretical programs and Applied Sciences College, Islamic Architecture Department; and the evening and evening qualification Preparatory Year programs; and diploma programs presented by the Society and society service and continuing education colleges.

The University Director, Dr Baqri Ma’atuq Asa’s made statements to that regard during  the meeting of the Higher Committee for Admission he presided at the meeting Hall of his office in the university town, A’abidiah.

Still, the University Director instructed upon harnessing all the modern equipment for serving those desiring to join the University via electronic system all the students can tirelessly deal with. He went on to underline that the University harnessed the latest electronic services in line with the visions and aspirations of the government, noting that this year, new specialties have been introduced in the Economic Science and Islamic Finance College in a way copes with the labor market requirements. The new specialties are related to the departments of financing, banking, stock exchange and insurance, coupled with the male - only physics, biology, chemistry, Arabic language departments of the Jammum University College. He also praised the efforts made by the members of the Higher Committee for Admission and the staff of the Educational Affairs Vice-deanship, Admission and Registration Deanship and Inform

Still, the Admission and Registration Dean, Dr Abdulmejid Alghamdi reviewed all the admission stages. The first stage extends from 20/8 until 12/10, and it is assigned to the direct admission to the regular bachelor degree in 65 specialties with the participation of 16 colleges; and the admission to the medical study of the Preparatory Year with the participation of nine colleges and its various specialties; and the engineering and computing study involving two colleges with their various specialties; and the administrative study including the Business Administration College and the admission to the Society College diploma degree in five colleges. 

The second stage of admission involves the Evening Qualification Year program and the Evening Preparatory Year with the participation of seven colleges; and engineering study, computing study and administrative study of the Evening Preparatory Year. The stage also includes the Society Service and Continuing Education College diplomas from 25/10 until 1/12- 1437. He went on to add that the stage next to it is designated for the irregular student bachelor degree in 16 specialties and with the participation of seven colleges.   

Dr Alghemedi asked to the students due to join to get the documents required for the second stage of admission scanned, and to have a look on the admission handbook to be familiarized with the programs, colleges and specialties the University offers. He further requested that the students place their desires in order of priorities as a preparation of the fifth stage of admission in which specialty desires are chosen.
