His Excellency the Minister of Education Praises the Accomplishments and Distinction of the College of Dentistry

His excellency the minister of education has sent out a telegraph message to his excellency the president of Umm Al-Qura university, Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Asas to thank him for the distinction of the sixth annual report 1436 AH of the College of Dentistry in Umm Al Qura university. His Excellency has commended the accomplishments of the college achieved during the past year in the realm of education, scientific research, and community service, in addition to its pursuit to achieve the standards of distinction in these realms.

His Excellency said in the message; I am very pleased with the high academic level the college has attained which qualifies it to be to the gate of science and knowledge with regard to dental health, and a seat of modern medical education built on encouraging learning outcomes and cognitive distinction. Though this was not possible without Allah’s assistance in the first place, and the efforts of the dedicated individuals who maintain and supervise the college, and your interest in monitoring the college affairs

Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Asas, the president of the university, prized this kind gesture from the minister of education, which provides more stimuli for dedication and devotion to the service of such grand academic edifice at Umm Al Qura. He also stressed that all of the university staff are devoted to the service of our Faith, Allah, and the homeland; they work on all levels to serve the society, and thus fulfilling the confidence and trust invested in them by everybody within this blessed spot, besides implementing the directions of our prudent leadership and living up to the aspirations and support of his Excellency the Minster of Education, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed bin Mohamed Al Essi regarding the progression of the university in our blessed country. Dr. Bakri prayed to Allah the Almighty to help everyone do that which He loes and which pleases Him.

On his part, Dr. Mohamed bin Mustafa Biary, the Dean of College of Dentistry at Umm Al-Qura University, demonstrated that the College of Dentistry at Umm al Qura University adopted strategic plans and objectives that ended fruitfully and paid off with the graduation of the first class from the college to join the workforce, and contribute with what they have learned to the service of their faith, Allah, and the Homeland. His excellency also added that the college is in a race against time to achieve progress and distinction and to keep up with the latest developments in the fields of education, scientific research and community service. Reports of the previous years spoke of aspirations, notions and plans, the report of the current mentioned the amazing on-the-ground achievements of the college; locally and globally alike.

He extended his sincerest thanks and appreciation to the leaders of this blessed country, on top of which the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdel Aziz, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince — May Allah protect them — for their immense and generous support of education. In addition, he expressed his warmest thanks and gratitude to the Minister of Education; Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Essi for his message which encourages creativity, more benevolence and distinction. He also thanked his excellency the president of the university Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Asas for his constant support and encouragement of achieving the desired level of outcomes. He thanked as well the college vice-deans, faculty members, assistant professors, and the entire staff for their constant and diligent work, stressing the prevailing teamwork in the College of Dentistry.

It is worth mentioning that the annual report of the college of dentistry is issued annually in Arabic and English, it encompasses the key intra-curricular and extracurricular achievements and activities of the college vice-deanships throughout the academic year, in addition to the college’s organizational structure and academic departments.

The report contains the achievements of the college’s students club, including holding awareness parties to serve the Meccan society and the pilgrims, and conducting exhibitions for research scientific posters for male and female students. The report includes as well the latest news and developments of the college.
