The UQU President and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Expansion Projects Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas checked on the works of safety means at the area of Zam Zam well preparation project and the last phase of sterilizing and treating of the environment surrounding the well from the remains of concrete and steel of the Grand Mosques's old basement. He was accompanied by the Head of the Technical Committee Dr. Faisal Wafa and a number of the committee officials including the engineers working in the field. The visit took place on Monday Safar 11, 1439 H.
Meanwhile, Dr. Assas valued the attention paid by the wise leadership to projects of the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Sites for the convenience of the pilgrims and visitors of the Grand Mosque. He also valued the keenness and directives of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and the Deputy Emir HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bander bin Abdul-Aziz, praising the follow-up of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Ieesa. He said the technical committee has completed all its preparations and the work plans required from the committee engineers.
He further explained that the committee undertakes its works 24 hours a day by recruiting more than 60 Saudi engineers in the project are to follow up safety means, detect the remarks and following up the measures adopted in this regard. Additionally, the committee also provides awareness programs on the safety measures to perform the works and face the expected risks. He added the Technical Committee of the Grand Mosques Projects undertakes the responsibility of checking the safety means for Zam Zam well Preparation project during a period of work amounting to 208 days distributed to three phases. He said more than 300 workshops for more than 4 thousand students of the summer trainees representing the Saudi universities were organized by the committee.
After that, the UQU President met with the Head and members of the technical committee and launched the committee pages on the social media channels dedicated to providing awareness programs.
