Within the framework of his tour in the Educational Hospital, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), visited the College of Dentistry. He was accompanied by Dr. Abdulaziz Khotany, the Dean, along with the vice-deans of the Dentistry College. 

During the tour, Dr. Assas reviewed the progress of specialized clinics, emergency medical clinics, emergency, oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics, as well as 76 student medical clinics, and the Medical Radiology Department. He also witnessed the efforts of dentistry students in treating patients with the latest modern medical techniques. Then, he inaugurated the Breast Cancer Campaign organized by the College coinciding with the celebration of the International Breast Cancer Day, under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Taher, Vice-Dean of the College.  

At the end of the tour, Dr. Assas listened to a detailed explanation by the Dean of the College about the activities of mobile clinics during this year.

Following the tour, UQU President commended the distinction of the Dentistry College with its staff members, students, events, activities and programs. He added that such distinction was not surprising, as the College of Dentistry fulfilled many achievements.

On his part, Dr. Khotany said that the visit of UQU President reflected his appreciated concern and support to follow up all the activities, programs and work carried out by the College of Dentistry, as well as all UQU colleges, to support its students.
