The UQU President, Dr. Bakri Matoq Assas, honored the scholarship PhD holder of mechanical engineering department and faculty member of College of Engineering, Dr. AbdulMo'een Mostafa, in presence of the Dean of College of Engineering, Dr. Hamza Ghalman. The celebration of Mostafa comes to honor him for bagging a number of international awards and scientific honors during his scholarship, including: membership of the Golden Key International Honor Society, academic research excellence membership for Nano technology and solar energy use at Southern Illinois University, membership in task force of a project sponsored by National Science Foundation, participation in annual workshop for solar energy specialists in the US, and representing UQU in IEEE Nanotechnology 2017 with a research paper titled, "Atomistic Simulation of III-Nitride Core Shell QD Solar Cells".
Assas lauded the accomplishments of Dr. Mostafa during his scholarship, noting that UQU scholarship students are no strangers to excellence and that they represent their university and homeland the best they could. Finally, he wished scholarship students continued success.
On his part, Mostafa expressed appreciation to the UQU president for his continuous support and concern for the interests of scholarship students, noting that the honor he received was a great impetus for more dedication to serving UQU.
