UQU Vice-President and Chair of the Planning and Studies Committee for Raising Awareness About Smoking Effects in Makkah, Dr Yasser Bin Sulaiman Shusho chaired the 11th meeting of the committee to discuss its executive plans. The meeting was attended by committee members of representatives of government and non-government bodies in Makkah at the Meetings Hall in his office at Al Aziziya-based University HQ.

UQU Vice-President and Chair of the Planning and Studies Committee for Raising Awareness About Smoking Effects Dr. Yasser Bin Sulaiman Shusho hailed support and instructions of Prince Khalid Al Faisal, governor of Makkah region, to the awareness committee about the smoking effects in the central region of the Holy Mosque and public places in Makkah. He hailed support of UQU President Dr. Bakri bin Ma'tooq Assas for activating the UQU societal participation in a way that fits its scientific stature.

He said the UQU plays its role in the committee by presenting numerous lectures and awareness programs about the smoking effects. He said there is a participation in an analytical study about smoking, its effects and means of combating as well as other awareness programs by the UQU Medical Center for university staff, hailing efforts by the committee members.

After this, UQU Vice-President Dr. Yasser Bin Sulaiman Shusho honored committee members for their efforts during the last year.
