Umm Al-Qura University
The Department of Computer Engineering held a ceremony for its existing and new students on Wednesday, 7th Muharram 1439H at Swand Theatre, the College of Computers and Information Systems. The event was attended by Dr. Fahd Al-Dosary (Dean of the College), Dr. Ayman Al-Harbi (Head of the Computer Engineering Department), as well as a group of staff members and lecturers.
The ceremony started with a Qur’anic recitation followed by a speech by Dr. Ayman Al-Harbi in which he welcomed the new students and wished them success. Moreover, during the ceremony students were introduced to the Department’s specialties and the new graduation condition, i.e. a student should have an average of more than 2 in order to graduate from the Department.
The ceremony concluded by honoring a number of staff members for obtaining scientific promotions, as well as the employees at the Department for their efforts and work during the past year.
