President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas on Tuesday Dhul-Hijjah 28, 1438 H honored at his office in Abdyia Dr. Emad Makki on PhD Scholarship form the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the member of the teaching staff in the college of Engineering for winning several international awards and certificates of appreciation during his scholarship period including; the membership of the Golden Key International Honor Society granted to outstanding students in the academic fields, membership of academic and research excellence while studying PhD in the field of mechanical and applied engineering in the University of Rhode Island in USA. Additionally, he was also enlisted within the top ten students in the College of Engineering at the level of the university. Present in the honoring meeting were the Dean of College of Engineering Dr. Hamza Ghulman and his father Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Makki.
On this occasion, Dr. Assas lauded the achievements made by Dr. Emad Makki during his scholarship adding that such thing comes as no surprise as Umm Al-Qura Scholarship students made many bright achievements in the past which we are proud of. He then wished all success for Dr. Makki and urged him to continue his excellence march in serving his university.
For his part. Dr. Makki expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas for his keenness and support provided for all university students on scholarships adding that the honoring of UQU President will motivate him to exert more effort for the sake of the university.
