The College of Engineering and the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies on Sunday, Rajab 17, signed an agreement of cooperation to provide specialized training courses for the public under the theme "Consultant on Demand".
Dean of College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture Dr. Hamza bin Ahmed Ghulman signed the agreement on behalf of the college while Dean of Institute of Consulting Research and Studies Ali bin Mohamed Al Shaeri signed as a second party on behalf of the institute.
Under the deal, the two sides have agreed to develop a mechanism to train staff members and to provide specialized courses of applied studies.
The agreement is a step for boosting cooperation between the university and the surrounding community. It provides studies and researches needed to accelerate development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lead by the Saudi government.
The agreement is expected to provide a group of highly-qualified academics who are well-skilled and have long experience in research, study and scientific studies. Thus, they can develop effective solutions in different fields including architecture, electric, civil and mechanical engineering at Umm Al Qura and the surrounding area.
The college has four departments (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Islamic Architecture). These departments form a bowl in which all engineering solutions are being developed to address social, planning and designing issues. They are important to reach excellence in specialty to serve our community.
