Dr. Al-Saqaf: Freshmen Forum Helps Students Excel

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Amr bin Taha Al-Saqaf reiterated that the Third Freshmen Forum 1438 H organized by the deanship during 27 -29 Dhul Hijja 1438 H is to help students excel in their academic life.

He said that the deanship prepared a group of various freshmen programs and activities, which will be presented at the forum, indicating that those programs span over the entire academic year. Al-Saqaf also maintained that engaging in those programs is pivotal for students since they introduce them to their rights and duties and the services they can use for help during their academic journey at UQU.

Al-Saqaf went on to add that students are responsible for their decisions and choices during their academic life. He reiterated that joining extracurricular activities help students develop academically, culturally, socially, and psychologically. Additionally, those programs equip students with the skills and capabilities required for job market to be effective cadres that could help grow the Kingdom.

Within the same vein, Al-Saqaf explained that the forum is intended to prepare students psychologically for ushering into academic life with diligence; it also introduces them to UQU colleges, supporting deanships (especially the Deanship of Student Affairs), student clubs and plenty of different student services.

Later, he invited all students to attend the events and programs designed by the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Saud Hall in Abbideya Campus. Male students can attend the event from 9 am to 1 pm while females can attend in the evening from 5 pm to 9 pm.
