On Wednesday, Dhul-Hijjah 22, 1438H, HRH Prince Khaled al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of Makkah, received the UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, at the Emirate Headquarters in Jeddah. Dr. Assas briefed the Emir on the admission mechanism at Umm al-Qura University (UQU), and its branches in the governorates of the region. Besides, Dr. Assas touched upon the future plans and activities of Makkah TechnoValley Company, affiliated to the University.
Prince Khaled al-Faisal, on his part, listened attentively to Dr. Assas's explanation of the admission mechanism at the UQU headquarters, as well as its branches in al-Jamoum, al-Leith, al-Qunfudah and Adham. It is noteworthy that over 20,000 students of both genders have been admitted to the various colleges, programs and disciplines of the University for the current academic year.
In addition, Prince al-Faisal reviewed Makkah TechnoValley plans, which are commensurate with the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Saudi Vision 2030. Moreover, he was briefed on the Saudi Startups Forum, to be organized by UQU, as represented by Makkah TechnoValley, by mid-Safar, 1439H.
