University of Umm Al-Qura has called upon  male and female students seeking admission in the university for the coming academic year in the evening qualifying and preparatory year programs at the university main campus, Al-Qunfudhah branch and the Community College Diplomas to submit their applications via the Unified Admission Portal starting from Sunday Dhul-Qe'dah 14 until Saturday Dhul-Qe'dah 20, 1438 H. 

Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani said that the evening preparatory year program includes the engineering track for the colleges of engineering and Islamic architecture excluding the department of Islamic architecture, and all the departments of the college of computer, and the administrative track for the College of Business Administration, while the evening qualifying year program includes the college of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, Applied Sciences, D'awa and Islamic Theology, Social Sciences, Islamic Economics and Finance and the Arabic Language Department and the Scientific Departments of Al-Qunfudhah University College. 

Further, Dr. Al-Samadani added that these program enables expansion of admission to the University, by accepting students who could not otherwise join the regular programs, after qualifying them for one academic year, provided that they attain the level necessary  for the preparatory track, and get a GPA of at least 1.75 out of 4 and 2 out of 4 for the qualifying year program, for proceeding for university study and getting BA degree. "Students are distributed to the majors as per clear-cut criteria, taking into account they desires and the capacity of each department", he expounded.
