UQU Sets Date of Admission for Evening Postgraduate Study Programs

Umm Al-Qura University represented by the College of Community Service and Continuing Education and the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies announced start of admission to evening postgraduate study programs for the coming academic year 1438/1439 H at the university headquarters in Makkah and Qassim region in collaboration with Buraida National College starting from Wednesday Dhul-Qe'dah 10 until Thursday Dhul-Qe'dah 18, 1438 H via the unified admission portal.  

 

On this occasion, the Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Khalid Barqawi said organizing evening postgraduate study program emanates from the mission and vision of the college in the high-quality educational and training fields which meet community and labor market needs to achieve effective partnership with various community establishments and improve quality level of the graduates and employees through all levels and stages of the qualification and training programs besides increasing satisfaction level of the beneficiaries of the services. 

 

He added that evening postgraduate studies programs for this year include MSc for male students only in the specialties of Islamic architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, while computer engineering science is available for both male and female students. "Admission conditions include that; the applicant shall be a holder of a degree from a Saudi or any other recognized University,   the applicant shall possess at least a college's good degree,   the applicant shall be a good conduct and reputation and be medically fit,  the applicant shall submit two letters of recommendations from his college professors, the applicant for the MSc Program must get a score of 400 or above in TOEFL or equivalent tests and the applicant must pass General Aptitude Test (GAT) for university students with at least 60", Dr. Barqawi expounded. 

 

He further noted that registration is open for citizens and residents and that the employer's approval is not required to join the program as the study can take place on the weekends and during the official holidays of Buraida national College. 

 

Concluding his speech he lauded the support attached by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas to the College of Community Service and Continuing Education and cooperation of the Dean of Postgraduate Studies Dr. Saleh Al-Firaih and the staff of the deanship.
