President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas received report of cooperation between UQU College of Business Administration and Texas A&M University in USA while meeting on Tuesday Ramadan 11, 1438 H the Dean of Business Administration Dr. Sultan bin Ayedh Al-Bogami who submitted him an elaborate presentation about the report and college endeavors to meet vision 2030 by developing educational content and achieving requirements of international accreditation. He added that the current academic year witnessed launching of joint teaching and lectures between teachers and students of College of Business Administration and Texas A&M University via the video conferencing and Facebook groups under the coordination of College Vice Dean for Educational Affairs Dr. Ahmed Al-Qarni, Dr. Yosri Nabeel, Sultan Al-Harbi, Fahad Al-Aboud and from the females section Dr. Suzan Al-Wazzan.
He stressed that the project has achieved a number of benefits including; receiving appreciation of the American side thus supporting college endeavors to obtain the international accreditation. Additionally, he said, Texas A&M students involved in the program has designed sites and conducted researches to introduce the Kingdom and its cultural, tourism and investment attractions. "The program also has contributed to providing the opportunity for the college students to simulate interaction with international business environment and learn about the pioneering experiences in Texas state, besides studying vision 2030 in depth and determining its positive impact on business environment for Hajj, Umrah, tourism and investment", Dr. Al-Bogami expounded.
Further, Dr. Sultan Al-Bogami extended his thanks and appreciation to UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas, UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Sorouji, and UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi for their support follow-up and motivation to upgrade the college outcomes and its endeavors to obtain the international academic accreditation. He also extended his thanks to the affiliates of the college, Deanship of e-Learning for the technical support it provided for the different phases of the project and to all those who involved in making the project a success.
For his part, UQU President Dr. Assas praised the efforts of the College of Business Administration and its significant role in supporting college students to contribute to serving their nation, country and community. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to the College Dean Dr. Sultan Al-Bogami, College Vice Deans and Faculty members wishing them all success.
