UQU President Receives One of Top Significant Global Hepatitis Treatment References
Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), received a copy of the book titled, ADVANCE IN TREATMENT OF HEPATITIS C AND B, from both Dr. Walid bin Hassan Al-Husaybi Al-Maliki (Associate Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology at UQU) and Dr. Imran Shahed (Assistant Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, UQU), who co-authored it with a group of leading international Hepatitis scientists. The book contained about (400) pages and was published in one of the world famous publishing houses (INTECH). In addition, Dr. Assas received a copy of the scientific article which was titled, REAL WORLD CHALLENGES FOR HEPATITIS C VIRUS MEDICATIONS, and published in the most significant international scientific journals, the rate of impact of which reached (8.192). This was during Dr. Assas’ reception of the two UQU staff members at his office in the University City in Al-Abediyah on Thursday, 29th Shaaban 1438H.
In this context, the UQU President appreciated the efforts of the two researchers, “Al-Maliki” and “Shahed” and commended their participation in the book, which was considered one of the most significant global scientific references that studied Hepatitis (C & B). He also commended their scientific achievements and offerings in such domain, and wished them further progress and success to serve their society in particular and humanity in general.
In turn, both Dr. Walid Al-Maliki and Dr. Imran Shahed expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to Dr. Bakri Assas for his support and encouragement of researchers at such scientific edifice (i.e. UQU). At the same time, the two researchers stressed that their participation with some of the world's leading specialized scientists in writing such book, which was considered one of the most significant scientific references of Hepatitis (C & B) treatment, was evidence of the scientific level and progress achieved by Saudi universities in general and Saudi scientists in particular. They wished that Allah, the Almighty, would benefit humanity with such achievements that did everyone favor.
