The College of Nursing organized a campaign to celebrate the International Day for Older Persons, with the participation of the Yosr Society for Family Development in Makkah Al-Makarramah, on Monday, 27 Safar 1443 A.H., under the auspices of Her Excellency the Vice Dean for Development and Quality, Dr. Sanaa bint Awwad Al-Sulami. The activity was held under the slogan: “Digital Equality for All Ages”.
Ms. Rana Al-Muqaiti offered a presentation on the most important electronic health services that the elderly can use to enhance their health and lifestyle and also the applications that help them in their daily lives. This was followed by cultural and historical competitions for the attendants, supervised by the Yosr Society for Family Development in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. Moreover, an awareness partition was equipped with the most important applications that help old persons.
At the end, Her Excellency the Chairman of the Yosr Society for Family Development in Makkah Al-Mukarramah gave a speech in which she expressed thanks and gratitude to Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the College of Nursing, for the efforts exerted in this regard. On her part, the Vice Dean for Development and Quality, Dr. Sanaa Awwad Al-Sulami, offered thanks to the Yosr Society for Family Development in Makkah Al-Mukarramah for their hospitality, cooperation and participation in the International Day for Older Persons.
