The twenty-third of September marks the anniversary of the kingdom's unification at the hands of the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud (may Allah bestow His mercy on him). It is a day when glories are renewed along with our love and loyalty to our beloved and generous country. The College of Medicine (female section) participated in the celebrations of the 91st National Day by holding a ceremony, during which all attendees complied with the applicable preventive measures.

During the ceremony, Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Aminah bint Abdullah Al-Otaibi, delivered a welcoming speech, which she opened by remembering Allah and invoking peace and blessings on His Messenger. She extended best wishes to everyone on this happy occasion that is endeared to everyone’s hearts, praised Allah for bestowing security and safety on us, and reflected on the meaning of the slogan: "It Is Our Homeland", underlining the due responsibility on everyone's shoulders towards our beloved homeland.

The college was also keen to honor its affiliates, the female student leaders in the various academic years, and the parties that exerted great efforts in cooperating with them to proficiently secure and fulfill the needs of the college. The number of certificates transmitted through the Administrative Communication System (Masar) and e-mails reached (44) certificates of thanks, bearing the logo of the 91st National Day and the logo of the "Planting the Homeland" project.

The female employees of the University Medical Center at Al-Abidiyyah campus were keen to participate in the college's celebrations by distributing masks and sterilizers to the female students and employees. Students of the Medical Student Club also participated in making a clip that was posted to their Twitter account (UQUMSC) and was shared by the official account of the College of Medicine:  https://2u.pw/B5C1D.

The initiative of the Green College of Medicine, which was launched in May 2021 A.C., was reactivated and linked to the National Day and the Umm Al-Qura Green University initiative.

The festive event was concluded with sincere supplications to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, protect our leader, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman, and maintain the blessings of security, stability and prosperity on our country. This was with supplications to allow us to experience many returns of this happy occasion while relishing development and growth under our wise and judicious leadership. Indeed, Allah is the best protector and helper.

It is also noteworthy that the College of Medicine shouldered the supervision of the volunteer initiative entitled: "We Sacrifice Our Blood for You". This initiative was launched on the 91st National Day under the umbrella of the Department of Volunteer Work and Social Responsibility and in cooperation with the Central Blood Bank of Makkah Al Mukarramah Health and the Central Blood Bank at the Department of Health in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The aim of the initiative is to enhance a national sense of belonging and provide adequate and safe supplies of blood to meet the various needs of its citizens and residents, thereby providing their health-related and social needs.
