The Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the College of Designs and Arts, celebrated the 91st National Day in Al-Jawhara Hall. The celebrations were held under the auspices of Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Wardah Al-Asmari, and in the presence of the college staff and students.

The ceremony included a documentary film about the unification of the Saudi Kingdom and a visual presentation of the kingdom's globally acclaimed achievements and efforts in addressing the coronavirus pandemic and in the continuation of the distance education process without interruption. The celebrations also included an exhibition of traditional costumes and arts related to the culture of the kingdom's different regions.

The Vice President for Female Student Affairs led the march devoted to visiting deanships, colleges and departments to monitor the progress of the educational and administrative process therein and share the manifestations of their celebrations of the glorious National Day.

In addition, the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies organized a historical symposium entitled: "My Homeland Is a Bright Hope", at the King Abdulaziz Historical Hall in Al-Abdiyyah. It aimed to shed light on the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among the countries of the world and its leadership in the services of all humanity.

The speakers of the symposium discussed the achievements which have been made by the kingdom within its ambitious vision programs, since its inception. They emphasized the great achievements made by the kingdom in various programs during the past five years. This is as well as it occupying advanced positions in various fields, establishing a solid infrastructure on the basis of developing the capabilities of the citizens and enabling them to implement the goals of the vision.

On their part, the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion organized a symposium entitled: “Saudi Arabia, a House of Pride and Glory”, at the Hall of Sheikh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him). It aimed at presenting the kingdom's efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques, in the service of the pilgrims and performers of Umrah, and in monitoring the kingdom's humanitarian work abroad.

The symposium discussed the situation of the Arabian Peninsula before the entry of King Abdulaziz Al Saud (may he rest in peace) and the prevailing insecurity, widespread ignorance, poverty, heresies, and banditry at that time. The symposium further highlighted the efforts of the Founder King in eliminating these and instead spreading legal knowledge and justice among the members of society, until security was established in the country, by the grace and mercy of Allah.

Moreover, the symposium portrayed the eras of the past kings, the developments that occurred during their rule of the kingdom, their efforts to expand the Two Holy Mosques, and the establishment of ministries, institutes, and specialized bodies, whose purpose was to organize the affairs of the state, meet the needs of the citizen, and strengthen their role in serving their country with all their professional capabilities and experience.

The speakers of the symposium touched on the kingdom's efforts to develop the Hajj and Umrah system, promote the care of the pilgrims, and organize crowd management in the holy sites. This is in addition to employing modern technologies to enrich the experience of the pilgrims and activating the role of charitable societies to serve the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah.
