WADI MAKKAH SIGNS AGREEMENT FOR TRACKING GSC HAJ VEHICLES

Dr. Faisal bin Ahmad Al-Alaf, CEO of Wadi Makkah Company, concluded a contract with Head of the General Syndicate of Cars (GSC), Mr. Abdel Rahman Al-Harbi, for the achieving the second phase of a unified platform to track navigation of vehicles, providing transport services during Haj and Umra, possessed by companies and establishments under the umbrella of GSC.

The contract was signed at the syndicate headquarter at Um Joud in presence of Dr. Abdullah Murad, co-founder of Nawafez Umam Est., an affiliate of Wadi Makkah.

Al-Harbi stated that the project includes adding advanced options including without limitation displaying luggage capacity of vehicles, reporting field breakdowns through a smart application on mobile phones, integration with the syndicate electronic operating systems and otherwise. The project, also, includes gathering data on navigation of vehicles transporting pilgrims, during last season, from several systems of pilgrims transport companies and establishments.

In his turn, Al-Alaf expressed his happiness for signing this contract for the second phase, noting that technologies developed by Wadi Makkah startup companies had notable contributions to last season, thus, this project comes as continuation of such contributions during this season.

Whilst, Murad, Co-founder of Nawafez Umam Est.which will execute the project in partnership with Averos, both are affiliates of Wadi Makkah, extended his thanks to the GSC for its confidence in this project during this season after a successful experience during the first phase of last season.
