UQU President Receives Indonesian Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs for Education

President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas received at his office at the university campus in Abdyia on Thursday Sha'ban 8, 1438 H, the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs for Education Dr. Gamrulddin Ameen and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by the Dean of Graduate Studies Dr. Saleh Al-Firaij and the Dean of Arabic language Institute for Non-Native Speakers  Dr. Hassan Bukhari. 

 

At the commencement of the meeting, Dr. Assas welcomed the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs for Education at Umm Al-Qura University wishing him a successful visit to the university in expanding scientific, academic and research cooperation ties between the two parties. He then reviewed scientific, academic, research and community roles undertaken by the university through its scientific and theoretical colleges and institutes, besides the developmental momentum proceeding all over the university in addition to the significant support the university receives from our wise leadership. He referred to the importance of scientific and research cooperation between the university and all international universities to achieve the sought-after objectives set to upgrade its outputs and its efforts to serving the community, and he welcomed boosting joint cooperation with the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in the field of education particularly in teaching Arabic language and sharia sciences aspects.    

 

For his part, the Indonesian Deputy Minister Dr. Gamrulddin Ameen said the visit is intended to discuss cooperation with the university in the scientific, research, Arabic languages and sharia sciences fields extending thanks and appreciation to UQU President Dr. Assas for the good reception and he wished success for everyone.


At the conclusion of the visit, the memorial gifts were exchanged between the two sides.
