Umm Al-Qura University President, His Highness Dr. Bakry bin Matuq Assass received, this day, Thursday Sha'ban 8^th 1438H, father of the martyr (Bandar Al-Baqmi) of the land forces who was martyred at the field of honor on the southern border of Najran.

This took place at Assass office in presence of UQU Vice President for Branches Dr. Abdul-Majeed Al-Ghamdi, supervisor of the university maintenance & operation, Eng. Abdel Mohsen Al-Ahmadi and Director of Operation & Maintenance Administration, Mr. Abdel Rehem Al-Malki.

Kassas extended condolences to the martyr father, in the name of the UQU staff, asking almighty Allah have mercy on,forgive and accept him as martyr.

Martyrdom at the field of honor is a medal for pride and glory awarded to each citizen defending his nation, religion and society, he elaborated on.

Our brave soldiers are our honor and we, officials and employees at all entities and establishments, are burdened with honoring our soldiers and extending condolences to their families, asking almighty Allah to protect our nation and protect our soldiers so our nation will enjoy lasting safety, prosperity and instability under our wise leadership, added he.

In his turn, Al-Baqmi expressed his thanks and appreciation to his Highness Kassas for this initiative.

We, parents of the Bandar, are proud that our son was martyred at the field of honor and duty asking Almighty Allah to accept him as martyr and May Allah grant him success, he said.

It is noteworthy that Al-Baqmi is an employee at UQU Operation & Maintenance Department.
