Today, at the emirate’s headquarters in Jeddah, the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, received the UQU President, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Amer Al-Zaidi, the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairi, and the Vice Dean for Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Hanaa Yamani.
During the meeting, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal extended his congratulations to the UQU President on the occasion of the university obtaining first place in the International Blackboard Catalyst Award 2021 for training and professional development. He stressed that the university’s scientific achievement is added to the nation’s achievements during the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.
On his part, the UQU President, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, appreciated the congratulations extended by His Highness the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the attention he gives to education. In addition, the UQU President praised Prince Khalid Al-Faisal's keenness to urge people to build ideas and develop the country in a manner that achieves the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030. Moreover, Prof Moaddi expressed his thanks to the wise leadership (may Allah support it) for giving attention to the educational process in the Saudi Kingdom and placing education among its priorities. The UQU President, Prof. Moaddi Aal Madhab, appreciated the support given by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Aal Al-Sheikh, and His Excellency the Deputy Minister for Universities, Research, and Innovation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sudairi, to university educational programs as well as the limitless efforts they exert to improve and develop the outputs of university education in a manner that in line with technical developments.
Finally, Prof. Moaddi stressed the keenness of Umm Al-Qura University to prepare and support the digital infrastructure with training programs in order to enable it to achieve full transformation. Such efforts have contributed to rendering the management of the e-learning process a success and obtaining first place in the Blackboard Catalyst Award 2021 for training and professional development.
