Under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Governor of the Makkah Region, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Umm Al-Qura University, yesterday, Wednesday, celebrated the graduation of the students of class 69 (1441/1442 A.H.), which included holders of diplomas, BScs, higher diplomas, MAs and PhDs. The ceremony was conducted virtually in order to ensure everyone's safety and to follow the specified precautionary measures.
The UQU President, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, congratulated the students on the occasion of their success in their academic journey and their graduation from the university. The UQU President added that these students are among the gifted members of the nation who will contribute to its progress and prosperity with their academic specializations. He also asserted that the university is keen to designate all its academic potentials and training experience to qualify young national cadres capable of furthering the development process and of serving their religion and the country of the Two Holy Mosques.
The UQU President appreciated the attention given by the wise leadership (may Allah support it) to the educational institutions and the generous support provided to develop the academic programs, according to the latest technologies. This support aims to achieve optimal investment of the Saudi citizens and to enable them to lead the renaissance of their nation. Moreover, he praised the attention given by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Aal Al-Sheikh, and His Excellency the Deputy Minister for Research and Innovation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sudairi, as well as their follow-up of the progress of the educational process. Their attention has contributed to boosting the educational outcomes and sharpening skills, in line with the requirements of the labor market. The UQU President also extended his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of the Makkah Region, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, for holding this ceremony under his patronage.
As part of the ceremony, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Khalid Al-Thaqafi, announced the final numbers of male and female graduates of class 69. Finally, the graduates of the medical and health colleges took the medical oath, which was read to them by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Emad Al-Jahdali.
