The College of Islamic Economics and Finance, on Wednesday, 29 Safar 1443 A.H., celebrated the initiation of the work of the Scientific and Cultural Committee in the college for the academic year 1443 A.H. His Excellency the Dean of the College, Prof. Abed Al-Abdali, inaugurated the work of the Scientific and Cultural Committee in the presence of His Excellency the Head of the Department of Insurance, Dr. Abdullah Al-Jabri, His Excellency the Head of the Department of Economics, Dr. Amjad Nato, His Excellency the Head of the Department of Finance and Head of the Scientific and Cultural Committee at the College, Dr. Anas Hakim, Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Faiza Al-Lahani, Her Excellency the Deputy Head of the Department of Economics, Dr. Alaa Kankar, Her Excellency the Deputy Head of the Department of Finance, Dr. Aisha Al-Sahbi, Her Excellency the Deputy Head of the Department of Banking, Dr. Wejdan Al-Saadi, a number of faculty members, and the male and female students of the college.

His Excellency the Dean of the College delivered the opening speech, welcoming the distinguished attendees and noting the great efforts made by the President of the University, Prof. Moaddi Aal Madh-hab, and the university’s vice presidents in offering their valuable guidance and their follow-up and support for all university programs to develop the educational process and improve the quality of the outputs. The Dean of the College also explained to the attendees the importance of the Scientific and Cultural Committee in developing research skills and providing scientific expertise for graduate and undergraduate students. Moreover, he stressed the importance of the committee in promoting the college's vision and mission.

On his part, the Head of the Scientific and Cultural Committee, Dr. Anas Hakim, reviewed the programs offered by the committee, which provides training courses, open scientific meetings, scientific discussion sessions, and workshops in various scientific fields that contribute to developing the capabilities of the college’s male and female students. He also explained the mechanism for applying to participate in the committee's scientific and cultural activities, inviting all college students to participate. He urged them to earnestly and diligently acquire the various skills and knowledge provided by the committee.

The event witnessed a discussion of several topics delivered by a group of faculty members. The dean of the college and the members of the committee listened to the contributions and suggestions of the faculty members and the inquiries of the students of the college.

Finally, His Excellency the Dean of the College extended his thanks to the President of the University, Prof. Moaddi Aal Madh-hab, the members of the Scientific and Cultural Committee, and the distinguished attendees. He supplicated to Allah to bless the efforts of everyone in serving science and its students.
